Rocket Making

Today we were lucky to take part in a rocket making workshop.

We started by building our rockets out of nothing but paper and masking tape. We had to add a pointed nose, and some fins to a paper tube. It was important to make sure there were no gaps where air could get through.

When we had finished building we went outside to launch the rockets. We use a special air pressure machine to launch them. After a count down, each rocket builder got to press the button to send their rocket into the air. They all flew, although some got damaged!

The 3 highest flyers were created by Millie. F, Emre, and Millie.M so we had a "fly-off!" The eventual winner was Millie. F-her rocket flew so high it landed outside school and was lost!
